I have the experience, education, and leadership qualities you are looking for to improve your facility and programs. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Recreational Management and Leisure Services from Brigham Young University and have had a wide variety of experiences in leading recreational programs.
The skills I can bring to this position include a strong knowledge of leadership, organization, efficiency and supervision. I know the importance of public relations, as I have experience working as a representative for a large entertainment company, and I am able to exemplify the qualities that draw in customers and clients.
I enjoy using my creative skills to develop programs and plan events, camps and clinics. I have practiced programming and implementing events and programs for various youth and adult sport agencies. While working for various university, volunteer and city programs I found innovative ways to teach and involve the participants in personal growth and learning experiences. I have great experience planning conferences for the founders and delegates of the Marriot School of Business and I work well in a professional setting.
Working in teams can be challenging, but I have developed skills to bring out the best from a cooperative effort. I thrive in the excitement of sports, recreation and leisure programs. I know the importance of recreation and leisure programs to individuals and the benefit they serve to the community.
My greatest strengths in overseeing the operational procedures of community recreation include the following: 1 – Registering teams and individuals and answering questions on programs; 2 - Publicizing programs and upcoming events and sending information out to the community and local schools; 3 - Communicating with staff to successfully run programs and resolve issues in a timely manner; 4-Organizing participants into teams and leagues, building schedules and team rosters; 5 - Ordering league shirts/equipment, calling coaches and conducting coach's meetings prior to start of leagues; 6 - Supervising programs, games, tournaments and all league personnel; 7 - Reviewing city and program budgets for various department activities; 8 - Overseeing and directing specific special events such as the Aquafina Pitch, Hit and Run Competition, Jr. Olympic Skills Competition, Itty Bitty Ball program, little league baseball/softball, soccer, volleyball, basketball camps and the Hershey's Track & Field Competition.
Thank you for your time and consideration, I look forward to speaking with you.
Sincerely,
Rebecca Monson
