Crisis for State Parks Deepens; NRPA Responds

The effect of the continuing recession on state budgets is starting to have devastating impacts on state parks.  The governors of California, Arizona, and Idaho have proposed closing major portions of their state park systems.  The Idaho governor wants to disband the state's park and recreation department altogether.
