Recreation Workers

Draper City is accepting applications for Recreation Workers. Positions include:

• Official/Referee/Umpire (experience preferred). Must be at least age 14. *
• Site Supervisor – Must be at least age 18 and possess a valid Utah driver license.
• Score-keeper – Must be at least age 16 and possess a valid Utah driver license.
• Instructor – Must be at least 18.

Pay is $7.25 to $30.50/hour – salary varies depending on position hired for and years of experience and/or certification. Work is generally during evenings and weekends. Hours per week will vary; there is no guarantee of work or game assignments.

All candidates are required to complete a drug screen before hire. Over age 18 will also require a BCI criminal background check before hire. *A signed parental consent form is required for applicants under age 18. For more information and access to necessary forms, go to www.draper.ut.us.

YMCA Trout Lodge and Camp Lakewood offers Summer and Fall Internship Programs which allow students the opportunity to integrate classroom learning with real world experience. Students have the chance to explore each area of interest at our facility while concentrating on their main area of study. In addition, we provide meals and housing to all interns in our program. I hope you will share this opportunity with your students.

Located in Potosi, Missouri, 75 miles outside of St. Louis, YMCA Trout Lodge and Camp Lakewood is a four-season vacation, recreation, outdoor education, team building and summer camp destination for over 40,000 visitors each year. As a branch of the YMCA of Greater St. Louis, we are privileged to focus on family recreation, outdoor education and corporate programs in a unique way. On-site activities include one of the largest adventure ropes courses in the Midwest, the Triangle Y Horse Ranch, boating, target sports, hiking, and many other outdoor and indoor activities.

We offer numerous internship opportunities in the fields of Recreation, Outdoor Education, Sport Management, Event Planning, Hospitality, and Nonprofit Administration. We can also work with you and your students to create specialized internship opportunities.
